Biography

Richard McGregor's responsibilities are:
● Provide leadership and direction for the club
● Oversee the work of the Club Committee
● Chair meetings of the club
● Advocate of the football club for the
local community.

The 2009/2010 season began on 22nd May 2009, when Richard McGregor started his new job as player-chairman. Dave Pinder was confirmed to continue as Manager and Jonny Ball and Jonny Banks will continue as Captain and Vice Captain repectively.

New Chairman Richard McGregor confirmed plans on the 12th July 2009 to create a Youth System at the Bank. His plans are to have at least a Under 8's and 9's team in the Craven Minor by 2010/2011 season. He also create new positions at the club that included a Director of Youth Development, Technical Co-ordinator, Child Welfare Officer and School Liaison Officer. These new positions will work under a new committee called the Youth Football Development Committee.

Under McGregor the club won their first ever trophy. They won the SDL Division 2 title by 4 points in 2009/2010. The club also created its first ever Junior side, with Holbank Under 10s launched in July 2010. They made their debut in the Craven Minor in mid-September 2010.

Chairman McGregor also launched the Clubs Reserve Side after discussions from January to June ended in a positive agreement. The club appointed Pete Callaghan as the teams manager and have made a bright start to life with Holbank and the SDL. So far in the 2010/2011 season they have been the clubs most consistent side.

Richard also created links with 2 local sports clubs. Sphynx LTC and Southport Trinity FC. The link with Sphynx will involve the two clubs working together to improve Youth Development in both Tennis and Football and will use their individual links with schools to do this.

The link with Trinity was created in November 2010 when Richard McGregor took over Trinity's Under 15 side, assisted by Mark Williams. McGregor has said he wants them to become Holbank's third team in the SDL when they finish life in the Craven Minor.
