At 48 Geo is the oldest player of the team. He possesses a huge amount of league experience spanning from Yorkshire to Nottinghamshire and now at Holbank, where he looks to end his hugely successful career. Geo started his career in goal and was often tipped to be a professional but decided to stay Semi-prof.
In his late teens and earlier twenties he was in the Sheffield United Youth system and played against the likes of Mick McCarthy. He later moved to Lincoln and began his Semi Professional career. He moved to now conference team Northwhich Victoria and then South Notts team Cotgrave. He decided to try and up the level in his game by signing for Harrogate Town when he moved to West Yorkshire.
While working for the Skipton Building Society he joined Skipton Town for a short period of time.
Shortly after his first child (Richard) he gave up the game only playing in charity events and small 5-a-side teams.
In December 2007 he was appointed Head Coach at Holbank and while taking training he was approached by the Holbank manager Dave Pinder. Pinder asked if he would sort the Goalkeeper crisis at teh club by signing until the end of the season, Geo accepted.
At the end of the 2007/08 Season he helped guide the club to a successful cup run and league position. He also signed on for the 2008/2009 Season in the 2nd division. He has become a hero for the players and someone to look up to and admire. His never back down attitude and motivational skills were key and will be key for the next season.
Geo is now the clubs First Team Coach and has enjoyed a fantastic preseason to the 2008/09 season. Also at the clubs latest AGM and Awards Evening he won the Most Consistent Player with an average rating of 7.5/10.
